  1. i love this idea! Fried rice is an excellent vehicle for those pretty purple chive blossoms. Mine are just about ready to pick :) I made chive blossom vinegar last spring and used it for a bunch of things. Glad to have another recipe for them!

Made this tonight, it was amazing!!! My husband and 16 month old son couldn’t get enough! Thanks for the great recipe.

  3. Gorgeous photos! I’ve made chive flower vinegar before, but I don’t often cook with them. I should, they are lovely and tasty. Thanks for the inspiration.

  4. Lurv me some chive blossoms! I’ve been chowing on them for about a month now as they pop into my sad excuse for a NYC garden. I’ve been throwing them into a deconstructed mix-herb pesto (along with the other herbage like thyme, thyme blossoms, rosemary, sage, mint, oregano, etc that has been going crazy with all this rain!). Must say, love the idea of using those purple beauties in a stir fry!
